echo! Ensemble
The inaugural season of echo!, Rezound!’s short-term intermediate handbell ensembles an incredible success.
As part of the Rezound! organization, this ensemble encourages community engagement and emphasizes dedication to musical excellence.
Auditions for the Fall 2026 session will take place August 22. Those musicians selected will rehearse weekly on Monday evenings from August 24 to October 21. Participants will perform a concert on Sunday, October 25 at 3:00 p.m.

Tell me more – echo! is for handbell ringers who want to focus on challenging repertoire, but have limited time in their schedules. The ensemble will bring together passionate handbell musicians who are eager to push the boundaries of their skills.
Selected musicians will rehearse for eight weeks under the leadership of Rezound!’s Artistic Director, Janet Carter, and will present a public concert to showcase their work.
Auditions – To ensure a cohesive and proficient group, we encourage experienced and dedicated individuals to audition. Dates for future sessions will be posted here.
Audition Requirements –
- Submit the online application
- Prepare provided music
- Demonstrate sight-reading abilities
- Show proficiency in various handbell techniques
- Participate in an interview with Rezound! leadership
Location – Auditions and rehearsals will be held at First Christian Church, 125 S. Pleasant St., Independence, MO.
Schedule – Eight Monday evening rehearsals (no rehearsal on Labor Day, September 7) and a Sunday afternoon concert. Attendance at all rehearsals and the concert is required.
Cost – The fee for the 8-week session is $80.
